Standards
Editorial Policy
The rules that govern what we publish, how we source it, and what happens when we get something wrong.
1. Independence
Global Reserve Research accepts no advertising, sponsorship, affiliate commission or payment of any kind from trading platforms, brokers, introducing agents or their marketing partners. No platform — including Global Reserve — has any influence over what we publish, when we publish it, or how it is worded.
We do not publish outbound links to trading providers. This removes both the commercial incentive and the appearance of one.
2. Educational purpose only
Everything on this site is educational. Nothing published here constitutes financial, investment, legal or tax advice, a personal recommendation, or an inducement to trade. We do not know your circumstances and cannot assess suitability.
3. Sourcing standards
- Primary documentation first: terms of business, execution policies, fee schedules and regulatory registers.
- Claims that cannot be traced to an observable source are either attributed as opinion or removed.
- Anonymous user testimony is not treated as evidence, in either direction, because it is trivially fabricated.
- Every platform research note carries a dated last-reviewed stamp.
4. Ratings
Where we display a rating, it measures documented, verifiable attributes such as disclosure clarity, cost transparency and the specificity of published risk controls. It does not measure profitability, and it is never a recommendation. The weighting is set out in our research methodology.
5. Conflicts of interest
Editorial contributors must disclose any account, holding or prior employment relationship with a platform they write about. Where a conflict exists, the contributor is recused from that assessment. We do not publish research on any provider with which a contributor has a current commercial relationship.
6. Corrections
We correct errors in public. Substantive corrections are appended to the affected page with the date and a description of what changed. We do not silently edit substantive claims, and we do not delete pages to hide errors. Minor typographical fixes are made without notice.
7. Use of automation
All published content is written, edited and fact-checked by our editorial desk. Research notes are reviewed by a second editor before publication and re-reviewed on a scheduled cadence, because platform terms change.
8. Reader safety
We include risk warnings on pages discussing leveraged products, we describe drawdown mathematics honestly, and we consistently emphasise that platform choice matters far less than the discipline of the person using it. Where a practice is common but dangerous, we say so — see risk management fundamentals.
